Biography: Dan brings nearly fifty years of ministry experience in helping pastors, ministry leaders and students discover their optimum leadership role for ministry service. Prior to establishing his practice as a church health consultant, he served as vice president of Church Ministries with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. Early in his ministry he recalls being active in mentoring and coaching younger men and women prior to learning the IDAK Career Match system. After completing his education at Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary, he and his wife, Iris, served many years in Native American communities in Minnesota and the Dakotas. Later he became a pastor in Montana and Wyoming before serving as vice president for the C&MA.
Dan continues to invest in coaching pastors who are seeking clarification as to their ministry strengths and developing young leaders find their vocational “niche”. In recent years, his cross-cultural experience has been an asset in coaching ministry leaders. During his time in national leadership, he coordinated the development of assessment systems with John Bradley to adapt the IDAK talent discovery process for ministry in minority cultures. Dan is also licensed as a National Evangelist with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Dan’s IDAK expertise also includes screening pastor and ministry leader candidates using the IDAK MAX Report.
Dan and his wife Iris live in Colorado Springs, Colorado where they enjoy time spent with four of their seven grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, nature photography, history, hiking, camping and horses. Fishing and hunting provide seasonal recreation too.
Dan’s passion is to see men and women thrive as they discover and use the gifts God has given to them to benefit themselves, their families and others.
